Bello（贝杜维教授），美国华盛顿和李大学历史系讲席教授、东亚研究中心主任。南加州大学中国史博士、斯坦福大学东亚系博士后。著有Opium and the Limits of Empire: Drug Prohibition in the Chinese Interior, 1729-1850 （中国的禁毒运动，哈佛大学出版社2005年）、Across Forest, Steppe and Mountain: Environment, Identity and Empire in Qing China’s Borderlands （山河之间：清朝边疆地区的环境、帝国和身份认同，剑桥大学出版社2016年）等。
